The Moondog Hammer arcing tool is designed to create the tail arc on piano hammers after the hammer is installed on the shank enabling a consistent tail-to-flange pin distance from hammer-to-hammer.
The arcing tool is made of zinc plated low carbon steel for endurance, lasting generations.
The arcing tool incorporates the manufacturer concept of a smaller arc radius — offset from the shank — which provides faster checking.
